Social Prescribing Day 2026 Webinar:
The Art of Prescribing – Advancing Arts-Based Pathways to Health
Thursday, March 26th, 2026 @ 12:00–1:30pm PT
As social prescribing continues to gain traction across the U.S. and globally, the arts are emerging as a powerful and evidence-informed modality for improving health and well-being. In recognition of Social Prescribing Day 2026, this webinar will explore the growing momentum of arts-based approaches within social prescribing frameworks.
Speakers will highlight how arts and cultural engagement support mental health, social connection, and community resilience, while sharing examples of implementation across health, public health, and community settings. The webinar will also examine what other social prescribing modalities—such as nature-based and service-oriented prescribing—can learn from arts prescribing.
Participants will gain insight into why the arts matter in social prescribing, what’s driving current growth, and how cross-sector partnerships can help sustain and scale this work.
We would like to help share information about any event you are hosting for Social Prescribing Day. Please either send the information to info@socialprescribingday.com or fill out the event form at this link.

Social Prescribing Day 2024
In 2024, the first year that International Social Prescribing Day was celebrated in the U.S., Social Prescribing USA held two programs to draw attention to social prescribing in the U.S. One was live, in-person, in San Francisco. The other was virtual. Both can be seen below:
Watch highlights from our 2024 Social Prescribing Day program, which explored the continued evolution and growing impact of social prescribing across the United States. The event brought together leaders, practitioners, and partners from across health, public health, and community-based organizations to share insights from early adoption and implementation efforts.
Speakers discussed emerging practices, lessons learned, and opportunities to strengthen collaboration across sectors, highlighting how social prescribing can support social connection, improve well-being, and advance more integrated, community-centered approaches to care.
This virtual Social Prescribing Day 2024 program complemented the in-person event by bringing together a national audience to explore research, innovation, and emerging practices in social prescribing. Speakers highlighted recent findings, shared practical insights, and discussed how arts, culture, and community-based approaches can support healthier, more connected lives.
