A New Home for the Social Prescribers Among Us:

If you’ve ever told a lonely patient about a local community choir, suggested a "walk in the park" as part of a treatment plan for anxiety, or helped a senior find a local gardening club, you are already practicing social prescribing.
Across the U.S., thousands of clinicians are doing this work instinctively. They know that clinical care alone often isn’t enough to address the root causes of health and well-being. But doing this work in a busy clinic can feel like an uphill battle—isolated, time-consuming, and unsupported.
That is why Social Prescribing USA, the principal U.S. social prescribing advocacy organization, is launching the Coalition of Social Prescribers (CoSP).
CoSP is a national learning and implementation network. We are building a bridge between frontline clinicians, community organizations, and the funding needed to make social prescribing a standard of care.
A Network That Works Around Your Schedule
We know you’re busy so our goal isn't to add another item to your to-do list; it’s to make the work you’re already doing easier and more sustainable.
CoSP will be a resource hub designed to fit into the margins of a clinical day.
Plug-and-Play Tools: Access "smart phrases" and AI-enabled asset-mapping tools developed with our current grant. Use them if they help; ignore them if they don't.
Optional Peer Learning: We hold virtual sessions once a quarter. They are recorded and entirely optional—join only if the topic solves a problem for you or you want to bring your issues to the group.
Skimmable Updates: Our communications are built for the "between-patient" window. Concise, actionable, and evidence-based.
Funding Pathways: As a coalition, we carry more weight. We will advocate to funders on behalf of the network to secure resources for link workers and program start-up costs.
Evidence Summary: We will develop a concise evidence summary for you to support your advocacy to get this work going in your system.
Who Should Join?
Whether you are a seasoned expert in social prescribing or just curious about how to start small in your practice, there is a seat for you. We welcome physicians, NPs, social workers, OTs, community health workers, and anyone involved in patient navigation.
Ready to join (without the homework)?
Getting involved takes less than three minutes. Click the link below to take our brief intake survey. Tell us who you are and what you’re interested in—that’s it. No dues, no heavy lifting, just a community of clinicians working together to treat the whole person.
